World Cardmaking Day Fall Thank You

I have one last fall leaf card to share with you today for World Cardmaking Day! This one features beautiful copper embossing with the Vintage Leaves and Colorful Seasons stamp sets! Here’s a close-up peek. I must admit that I have not actually SEEN any of these copper-spotted leaves on the ground – lol, though I always look for pretty ones when I walk. I wanted to create the speckled look that I see on many leaves, so I stamped the speckle stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird stamp set in Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with Copper embossing powder. I love how it turned out, and hope you do too!

Some of the other leaves were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-embossed with Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler (all retired) and Clear embossing powder. If you don’t have the colored embossing powders, you can stamp the image using a juicy ink pad in the color of your choice, then heat emboss it with Clear embossing powder and the Heat Tool to get the same effect.

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock and the corrugated Pumpkin Pie piece background is left over from a past Paper Pumpkin kit. I think it adds great texture to the background, don’t you?

I stamped the banner from the Home Life bundle in Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock and die cut it with the Welcome Home framelits (also part of the Home Life bundle). It’s a nice large banner, so many sentiments will fit on it. Here the Thank You from the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Delight stamp set was added in Early Espresso ink. Since Daisy Delight is a photopolymer set, it’s easy to position it where you want it on the banner.

The completed World Cardmaking Day fall card features a large banner die cut with the Welcome Home framelits. The Thank You sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set. All products shown are from Stampin’ Up!.
