Three Quick Note Cards

When you need a card in a hurry, reach for your 3-1/2″ x 5″ Whisper White Note cards and envelopes and use your favorite pretty paper. Here are three quick and easy note cards that only require paper, ink, a greeting, and maybe a few pearls or other small embellishments!

All three samples use the beautiful and bright Stampin’ Up! Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper, which comes in 6″ x 6″ sheets:

Bright patterns in the Stampin' Up! Garden Impressions paper stack. This gorgeous paper is only available while supply lasts!

The colors in this paper pack are Calypso Coral, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Petal Pink, Powder Pink, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron and Whisper White. As you can see, there are many florals, as well as abstract patterns in this set! You can make a ton of quick note cards with them. Which one is your favorite? I gotta say, I love them all!

Wedding Wishes

The first card I created uses two 1″ x 3″ strips from one sheet, with a 1″ x 4″ piece of another pattern in the center. By choosing to use two strips of the same paper, you keep the design balanced, and not too busy.

The designs are all gorgeous, so choose your favorite combo and a coordinating 1-1/2″ x 3″ solid color paper for your greeting. Here, I stamped the wedding sentiment from Floral Phrases on So Saffron card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.

Congratulations

For the second card, I chose a pink and coral floral design to cover the front of the note card with a 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″ piece. It’s so pretty on its own, so I just adhered a 1″ x 3″ coral banner with Congratulations.

Congratulations with a beautiful pink and coral floral from the Stampin' Up! Garden Impressions paper!

Thanks to You

Finally, I used a 1″ x 5″ strip of coral card stock, and adhered a 3/4″ wide piece of Garden Impressions paper on top. Cut two 1″ squares of the same design and snip them in half to create the triangles at the bottom. After attaching these pieces, I stamped a long Thank You greeting above in black ink.

Embellishments

These three note cards are cute without any embellishments, but on one of them, I added a couple of Artisan pearls. On another, I used some coordinating enamel shapes. So use what you have, or leave them plain. They’re adorable either way!

Transition Time

As many of you know, May is a transition time for Stampin’ Up! We’re saying goodbye to some of our favorites from the annual and spring catalogs, and anticipating all the goodies in the new catalog, available June 4th. The good news is that the Garden Impressions paper is still available! If you love it, hurry to my online store, and order it today! Click on the Last Chance Products to get all your favorites while supply lasts. Don’t forget to add Whisper White or Very Vanilla Note Cards to your order too!

The stamp set, Floral Phrases, will not be in the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog, but availability is guaranteed until May 24th. During this transition period, wood-mount and clear-mount stamps will be leaving, but the new cling-mount stamps will be arriving! Be sure to get the retiring sets you’ve had your eye on before they’re gone!

Eastern Beauty, another of my favorite sets, is also retiring. See how I used it to create another pretty note card!
