Who would you send this little You’ve Been on My Mind note card to? Is there someone you’ve been thinking about a lot lately? Maybe a friend who is going through a rough patch, someone who has lost a loved one or perhaps somebody who is away from home for school or travel. Then let that special person know that you’ve been thinking about them with a note card like this one!

Note Cards
Stampin’ Up! has the perfect note cards with matching envelopes for this project. They are 3-1/2″ x 5″, just large enough to mail easily with no special postage requirements (US). Simply fold them along the score line and start decorating! You can order them here, if you don’t already have some on hand.
Gingham
In addition to note cards, use some cheery gingham paper cut to 3″ x 4-1/2″, such as the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that comes in a variety of designs. Choose any of the In Colors, Neutrals, Brights, Subtles or Regals paper stacks. The card above shows Grapefruit Grove gingham from the Spring Occasions catalog.
Butterflies
In order to create the butterflies, use the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Duet Punch and the Butterfly Gala photopolymer stamp set. Punch butterflies from Whisper White scraps and adhere them to the gingham piece. Then stamp two additional butterflies with Lemon Lime Twist ink (or any bright green ink) and punch them out. Adhere these butterflies over any two of the white butterflies using glue dots or liquid glue only in the center. Add the body and antennae with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Gently bend the wings to make them stand up.

After adhering the white butterflies, trim any that extend over the edges of the gingham. Tie a bow around the gingham layer with the beautiful Silver Edge Metallic Ribbon. Then attach the gingham piece in the center of your card base with SNAIL or other adhesive.
Sentiment
Start by stamping your desired sentiment in Versamark ink on a Basic Black scrap. (The piece shown is 1/2″ x 2-3/4″, after trimming.) Then sprinkle the Versamark ink with White Stampin’ Emboss powder, shake off the excess, and heat emboss it with the Heat Tool. Finally, attach the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellishments
To finish off your note card, add some sequins, for instance, the Lemon Lime Twist flower sequins from the Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins collection.
