In addition to the stamp set and punch, you’ll need cardstock, ink, paper scraps, a small piece of ribbon and a couple of embellishments. So this card is a great way to use up all the little bits you have in your stash!
The Good Things in Life Card
For The Good Things in Life card, start with a piece of Thick Basic White card stock, 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2 inches, scored at 4-1/4″. This will be the card base.
Next, look in your scrap piles for strips that are 1/2″ wide and varying lengths. You’ll need 6 of these in coordinating colors, as well as a larger piece 1-3/4″ wide and approximately 5″ long.
Cut a ribbon about 5″, or the length you need to tie a bow around the 1-3/4″ wide scrap. First, stamp your sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in black ink about 1″ from the bottom of your banner piece. Secondly, use a banner punch, or cut the banner bottom with paper snips. Tie the ribbon around the top of the banner. Lastly, add a few embellishments for accents.
Now that the banner for the sentiment is ready, cut banner ends on your 1/2″ wide strips. Lay them out on your card so you can create your desired pattern before attaching them. Space them about 1/2″ from the top and bottom of your card, with about 1/4″ between the strips for even spacing. If your strips are narrower or wider than 1/2″, you may need to adjust the measurements. Adhere the strips, then add your sentiment banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the Inside of The Good Things in Life Card
Don’t forget to add a sentiment or some decorations on the inside of your card! Simply punch the butterflies with the Butterfly Duet Punch and add them to the bottom corner. Stamp the inside sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set, which will be carried over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
