You’re So Sweet … It’s Scary is a fun sentiment from the Frightfully Cute Bundle by Stampin’ Up! Combine the greeting with a subtle, not so scary witch, and a cute little cat for a sweet Halloween card.
Create Your Own Designer Series Paper
Use the Brights Designer Series Paper as the background for a quick card. Firstly, choose from one of four patterns in the paper pack. In order to step up the card design, customize it with your own pretty paper. Just stamp the small bats in Gorgeous Grape ink all over the patterned purple paper!
After you choose a pattern and stamp the design, cut a 3″ wide strip diagonally from top left to bottom right. It should be long enough to cover the card front as shown. TIP: Lay the full sheet of 6″ x 6″ paper over the card front to determine how you want the pattern to go. Then trim the right and left side diagonally, approximately the same amount on each side so it is 3″ wide. Finally, adhere it, then trim the edges with a paper snips to fit the card front.
You’re So Sweet … It’s Scary Sentiment and Tag
With the Delightful Tag Topper Punch, you can create three different tag widths, and adjust the length as well! For this tag, cut your Basic White cardstock to 3″ x 2″, then punch one end. Tie the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon through the hole. Next add the tag near the center of the card, overlapping the patterned purple paper.
In addition to the punched tag, die cut the remaining shapes with the Frightful Tags Dies. Begin by stamping the moon in Crushed Curry ink. Use the circular die to cut it out. Also, cut two trees from Basic Black cardstock. Next, adhere the moon and trees as shown on the sample card. Continue to decorate by stamping a cat in Tuxedo Black Memento ink in the bottom center of the tag.
Moving on to the sentiment, stamp the greeting in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Die cut the label with the Frightful Tags Dies. Be sure to center the greeting on the right end so that there’s enough room for the witch on the left. With Versamark ink, stamp the witch, then heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
To finish off the card, of course a little bling is perfect! Use the yellow and green jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels pack to coordinate with the moon and tag.
