I was fishin’ around in my stamp room the other day, and here’s what I caught:
This cute little fish is stamped in soft suede ink on tangerine tango cardstock. The coral was stamped in versamark and heat embossed with sugar & spice embossing powder – LOL – I can smell him across the room, but he doesn’t smell very fishy!
Stamps: By the Tide(129120), Happiest Birthday Wishes(ret) Ink: Tangerine Tango (126946), Soft Suede (115657) Paper: River Rock (108640), Soft Suede(115318), Naturals Ivory(101849), Tangerine Tango(111349) Other: Tangerine Tango button, calypso coral baker’s twine (125573), retired DSP, ovals framelits (129381)
Recently I’ve been working diligently at using up some retired DSP scraps in order to make room for new stuff! I was inspired by the design of Beth’s Stamp Camp cards but wanted to use this more masculine paper. Here’s my version.
Which color combination do you prefer?
Stamp Sets: By the Tide (129120 C, 129117 W), Pretty Petites (retired), Pennant Parade (122740 W, 122742 C), Tiny Tags
Paper: Island Indigo, Naturals Ivory Whisper White, Baja Breeze
Usually I use the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set for sympathy cards, but since I needed some get well cards, I changed it up a little. This retired paper somehow reminds me of swirling windblown leaves on this card, especially with the fall color Cajun Craze layer 🙂
