Something For Baby Made With Love

New Babies are So Much Fun!   I love to create cards, buy gifts and attend baby showers to celebrate a new baby! The gifts and cards don’t have to be complicated either. The Big Shot and dies do most of the work on this one. This little card uses the Stampin’ Up! Baby’s First Framelits to cut out cute images from the Something For Baby Stamp set. The card base is Crumb Cake. Next is a layer of Very Vanilla with a onesie die cut from the middle of it. Put your favorite paper behind this die cut. Stamp the stacking…

March 2016 Paper Pumpkin

Easily Adapt Paper Pumpkin I love my Stampin’ Up! Paper Pumpkin kits, but I rarely make all the projects exactly alike. It is so easy to make the pieces provided in the kit uniquely yours by adding a few small touches. The March kit had 4 small gift cards and 4 large gift cards. I made three of the small gift cards and one of the large gift cards following the instructions included in the kit.   Check out this quick Stampin’ Up! video to see how to create these gift card projects. Since I didn’t need all of these…

Shaker Cards For Boys Too!

Baby Boy Congratulations! Today’s card is a slight variation of the Baby Girl Shaker card I showed you yesterday. It omits one layer of cardstock, and the ribbon is near the top of the card, instead of at the bottom. It’s easy to make lots of variations using the same basic design, with different colors, papers, inks, and punches or dies. To create this card: Start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, folded in half. If using ribbon, adhere it to the card base about 2″ from the top of the card. Here I used a…

Baby Girl Congratulations Card

Congratulations for your Baby Girl! Yesterday I shared a birthday shaker frame card with you, and today I have a quick baby card butterfly shaker. Isn’t that a cute onesie for a new baby girl? To create this card: Start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of Naturals Ivory(shown) or Very Vanilla cardstock, folded in half. Add a 4″x 4″ piece of patterned paper. This sample shows Stampin’ Up! More Amore Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is now retired. Next add a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of coordinating solid color cardstock (Strawberry Slush shown) on top of the DSP. Cut…

Busy Pattern Paper Challenge

What do you do with paper that has a really strong pattern and lots of colors like this one? That was the challenge put to the Song Of My Heart Stampers team a few weeks ago. Would you like to see some examples of what they came up with? If not, close your eyes and step away from the computer now, because I’m going to show a few. How about a card border, or a banner? This card uses lots of white space with only a small border of the paper showing. Or maybe you’d like a cute Christmas tree?…

Framed

Rummaging around in my craft room today, I came across these top note remnants from a previous project. Hmmm, what could I do with these? With a quick cut down the middle, the frame was transformed! Add a little DSP, stamp a little, use a couple of framelits and punches, sponge a little, color a little. Then voila … A baby card emerges! Blue and orange might not be traditional baby colors, but I like it! What do you think? One down and only 12-1/2 more frames to repurpose! Stamps: Baby Bundle Paper: Whisper White (100730), Tangerine Tango (111349) and Baja Breeze…
