Shaker Cards For Boys Too!

Baby Boy Congratulations! Today’s card is a slight variation of the Baby Girl Shaker card I showed you yesterday. It omits one layer of cardstock, and the ribbon is near the top of the card, instead of at the bottom. It’s easy to make lots of variations using the same basic design, with different colors, papers, inks, and punches or dies. To create this card: Start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of Crushed Curry cardstock, folded in half. If using ribbon, adhere it to the card base about 2″ from the top of the card. Here I used a…

To create this card: Start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of Naturals Ivory(shown) or Very Vanilla cardstock, folded in half. Add a 4″x 4″ piece of patterned paper. This sample shows Stampin’ Up! More Amore Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is now retired. Next add a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of coordinating solid color cardstock (Strawberry Slush shown) on top of the DSP. Cut…

Shaker Frame Birthday Balloons

Yay – Happy Birthday! We’ve been celebrating lots of birthdays around here lately. So it’s always great to have a few cards ready ahead of time! While cleaning up my stamp room, I ran across a whole package of Stampin’ Up! shaker frames just begging to be used. If you don’t have shaker frames, you could also use some regular Stampin’ Dimensionals around the opening. Dimensional edge pieces work well for this. Start with an 8-1/2 x 5-1/2″ piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, folded in half for the card base. Use the Balloon Framelit and the third smallest Circles Collection…
