When you have beautiful paper, like the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!, this peekaboo Thank You Card is a snap to create! Simply cut a curve in your pretty paper with paper snips, separate the pieces and layer them on a card base. Next you’ll need a greeting and a couple of embellishments. Here I stamped Thank you in Grapefruit Grove ink, and used the Stitched Shapes dies to cut it out. Because it’s so easy to make these cards, you’ll want to make a bunch to have on hand. This could easily be a…

World Cardmaking Day Fall Thank You

I have one last fall leaf card to share with you today for World Cardmaking Day! This one features beautiful copper embossing with the Vintage Leaves and Colorful Seasons stamp sets! Here’s a close-up peek. I must admit that I have not actually SEEN any of these copper-spotted leaves on the ground – lol, though I always look for pretty ones when I walk. I wanted to create the speckled look that I see on many leaves, so I stamped the speckle stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Swirly Bird stamp set in Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with Copper embossing…

Quick is Good for Thank You Cards!

Make Great Quick Cards with Pretty Paper! Sometimes you just need a quick card to say Thanks! Use your pretty paper and you’re off to a great start. This card uses two colors of cardstock, one piece of pretty paper, and no stamps. Instead, die cut the sentiment with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Stampin’ Up! Hello You Thinlits, then attached using the Fine Tip Glue Pen. That’s It! The paper for this card is from Autumn Traditions (retired) in the 2009-2010 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. It’s actually fall paper with leaves, but for some reason the…

A Single Layer Thank You Card

Stencil It Today’s crafting session was all about playing with stencils, ink colors and a stamp that hasn’t seen ink in a while. Here is a fun polka-dot Thank You card – just one layer of card stock and a couple of embellishments. To create this colorful effect, I used a piece of thick whisper white card stock with the dots stencil from the dots and stripes stencil set and some daubers. I taped the stencil and cardstock down with washi tape to keep them from wiggling around while I was working. Beginning at the bottom, the ink colors I used are:…

Everyday Occasions Cards – Day 3

Wednesday I shared the second set of samples using the Eveyday Occasions card kit. Today I have four little Thank you cards for samples #9-12. You can see my previous 2 posts for the first eight cards in this series. Card #9: Someone used the scalloped kraft tag in the kit (who could it be??), so I substituted a white one and changed the ink color from Basic Gray to Island Indigo.   Card #10: Here I stamped the Thank you sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes on a banner from the kit, because the Thank You sentiment in the kit…

Quick Thank You

Hi everyone – Today I’m sharing a quick thank you card which started with trying to use up the Cajun craze scalloped oval embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder. I think typing that sentence took longer than making the card – lol! I simply chose the rose image from the Beyond the Garden paper and cut it with the largest oval die. Then I embellished it with a ribbon, a few candy dots and added a sentiment. Easy…done! To create your own quick card, here’s a list of the products used: Product List Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set…
